The last of the questions

My mom asked the following questions:

Q8: What is your biggest pet peeve? I have a few, but one of my biggest would probably be when I tell Brian supper is done and he responds with “I’m coming” when he really means he’ll come when the tv program goes to commercial or is over.

Q9: If Matthew could have a pet, what would it be?  probably a small dog.  But having pets makes traveling away from home difficult if you don’t have a pet sitter, so a cat would be the easiest as long as we left out enough food and water.  I am not a big fan of cats however.

Q10: What is your favorite song? I don’t know that I have an exact favorite.  It depends on the mood I’m in.  Casting Crowns is one of my favorite bands at the moment though.

Q11: What is your favorite movie? since I have an obsession, my husband wouldn’t let me say anything other than Cars.  Ratatouille is up there too.

Q12:  What is your favorite TV show?  On Sunday’s there used to be three different shows on that I like to watch, all for a different reason.  Extreme Makeover: Home Edition because I like seeing people in need being helped and their stories are usually pretty touching.  Oprah’s Big Give, only because I like to see how different people come up with ways to help others and I like to compare what I might do in the same situation. Lastly, Here Come the Newlyweds was a fun show to watch because of the diversity in all the couples and some were always entertaining.

Q13: If you could live anywhere, where would it be?  I don’t know.  I haven’t really thought about it before.  I like places that actually have 4 different seasons and do not stay the same year round.  I also would not want to live in a state were the majority of it is flat, no hills, mountains or bluffs….just flat farmland.

Q14: Is there a sport you don’t want Matthew playing and why?  probably hockey because it seems as though injuries are commonplace in that sport.  I’ve heard on the news too many times lately of people getting hurt, sometimes intentionally from the opponent.

Q15: Other than where you went on your honeymoon, where would you like to go for a vacation?  Disney World.  But, Brian and I have talked about going to one of the Beaches Resorts somewhere in the Caribbean sometime because we really liked Jamaica and Sandals Resort.  Beaches is owned by Sandals but is for families instead of couples.  For some odd reason, visiting Scotland or Ireland has been something I’ve wanted to do too.

Q16: Did you enjoy going camping?  It has been awhile since I’ve been camping.  My favorite part of camping was roasting marshmallows.  I do remember feeling bored though since I was so used to being on the go and having something that needed to get done.  Now that I’m a little older, I think I could appreciate it more.

Q17: Would you ever buy a camper?  I don’t know.  Brian says it isn’t real camping if you’re in a camper.  True camping is in a tent.  A camper is just like staying in a house in the woods, only smaller.  I guess we’ll find out Memorial Day weekend if I enjoy “true” camping.  I don’t remember the last time I’ve slept in a tent anywhere other than a back yard as a kid.

This is officially the end of me answering your questions.  Mom, I will come up with a list for you and post them later.  I’m off to enjoy the rest of the day which has a forecast to reach 69*.

We are still tent camping in our family but mostly because we can’t afford a camper. In the future we plan to buy a pop-up trailer. We fell in love with some at the camper show this year. We mostly want one because they make the sleeping arangements and incliment weather dealings more comfortable. We still are outside all the time and generally only use the popup for sleeping. And it’s nice because you can keep all your camping gear in it so you don’t have pack everything so many times.
